箭厂空间成立于2008年，位于北京的中心城区，由一间临街店铺改造而来。 本书是对箭厂空间过去三年实践的首次全面总结 ,通过此书，读者能够一览国内外艺术家在箭厂空间中创作的特定现场作品。并记录下在中国宏观的文化氛围中，箭厂空间所扮演的独特角色。
